Students from 1st and 2nd Primary solve a mystery inside the junior library section.
On February 12, 15 students and 3 teachers belonging to First and Second Primary had the chance to visit CIVICAN, a Pamplona's library located in Avda. Pio XII. The section they visited of the mentioned library was the junior one, created in its day by Fundación Caja Navarra with the aim to increase reading habits among the little ones.

At 9:20, Sara, the librarian, greeted them. However, everything was untidy: books scattered on the floor, notices askew... Some mysterious occurrence had happened during the night, and the children were the perfect candidates to solve the mystery. Their first mission was to tidy the library up. Once everything was back to normal, Sara narrated the events in detail.
They learned how to order books by placing each notice in its place. While they put the books on the shelves, they would find more and more clues, which revealed that the famous villains from children's stories were the main suspects. After a thorough investigation of the different stories, they sought the books in which they belonged in order to arrest them. Therefore, with the help of the alphanumeric code of each book, they were able to find out which shelf to store them on. Moreover, after doing a comparison of the various stories, our little detectives realised that even though their styles, themes, and types of characters were different, there was a connection between them.

Finally, after much investigation, the truth came out to the light. They found the real culprit, whom they arrested, as well as his accomplices. From then on, the evil cat and his cat cronies (who had been chasing mice from other stories) were banned from exiting the library and entering other children's homes.
After having successfully solved the mysterious case, it was time to go. Both students and teachers thanked Sara, the librarian, as they said goodbye. This experience had combined reading and investigating, as well as teamwork. All this woke a great enthusiasm in the children, who were dying to return in order to continue exploring the library.
On the way back to school, students spoke about the highlights of the outing, whilst having a snack and waiting for the bus to arrive. Once they arrived, they resumed the usual routine after having enjoyed an authentic literary adventure.
