Secondary and high school students attended the dress rehearsal of Schumann's "Spring Symphony," performed by the Navarre Symphony Orchestra.
On April 3, secondary school and high school students from the Evangelist School attended the dress rehearsal of the work "Spring Symphony" by German Romantic composer Robert Schumann, which the Navarre Symphony Orchestra was preparing at the Baluarte.
After attending the first hour of class, the students prepared to board the bus at the Orkoyen stop. Under a light rain, they left at 10:15 a.m. and all arrived on the same bus at the Conference Center and Auditorium, where they were seated in the main hall, right in front of the stage. Those who had never been at the Auditorium before were impressed by its size and dimensions. Numerous schools from Pamplona also attended the dress rehearsal. As the start time approached, the students watched the different musicians taking their positions and tuning their instruments. At 11:10 a.m., an orchestra leader explained aspects of the piece that was about to be rehearsed—just a section, about 50 minutes long. The "Spring Symphony" is a romantic work, charged with emotion and full of contrasts. The conductor of this piece, François López Ferrer, then appeared to introduce the piece. The rehearsal was vibrant, full of nuances, and led by the conductor with a passion that surprised many. Time passed really quickly. The group left the Baluarte and headed toward Paseo Sarasate, where the bus took them back to school at 12:45. It was a very pleasant break after a few weeks of hard work.
